It’s a Small World!

August 15th, 2011

This weekend I decided to go out and about, capturing our world in miniature!

I drove around Worcestershire taking shots of our everyday life – manipulating the photos, giving the illusion of miniature scenes with landscapes, water and people etc. This technique is fun and playful, it also gives a really cute and happy feeling to the scenery.

Have a look below at some of the weekend images, and watch this space, as you may see some famous scenes that look like they are in a miniature world on here soon!

Enjoy….

February 28th, 2011

Laura Elizabeth Cakes

Laura Elizabeth Cakes is the perfect place for specialist cakes. They are sisters who are dedicated to providing you with your dream cake, no matter what the occasion. From design to delivery you can choose and personalise every detail, nothing is too much trouble.

They have a warm and friendly environment and you  are always welcome to visit their shop, situated in Worcester, where a warm welcome awaits you.

The Girls wanted to completely redesign their site incorporating a style they already had. We took on the project and produced a site which not only fitted with their image and style but also gave them a site with all the flexibility they needed. The site also allowed them to update text, add and upload images themselves via a content management system designed around their needs running behind the scenes.

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. It basically gets the nerds out from the office enjoying the country-side in a fun way.

The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.

There are currently over 1,035,088 caches hidden around the world, so get started there are plenty to find!

Is it time to comply with W3C?

March 15th, 2010

You may be wondering why do I need to conform to these standards? Well… Here are some benefits:

Reduced markup: Less code means faster loading pages, which in turn means less bandwidth = less money.

Increased separation of content and presentation: By using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control a site’s design, updates and site wide changes become quicker and easier through the update of a single style sheet.

Improved accessibility: Web standards enable us to reach the highest possible number of browsers and devices.

Forward compatibility: By authoring pages using web standards you are ensuring that they will be readable in future browsers.

So if you think it’s about time to update your site to these standards, or would like some more information on how to implement the standards to your site then please contact us here.
